Use the law to make Thames Water publish its sewer upgrade plans
The Environmental Information Regulations state the company must publish detailed plans on its website and update it when they change. By not doing this it is breaking the law.
When the information is in the public domain it can be assessed by independent wastewater experts.
We have a right to know our money is being spent efficiently and on projects that will tackle the worst pollution.
Our information request calls on Thames Water to abide by the law. If they refuse we will complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. The regulator can make the company publish the information.
Billions of pounds will be spent on the sewer network. These decisions are too important to be made behind closed doors.
We need more public control of Thames Water and using this law is how we start.
